Beautiful antique whitework piece featuring delicate floral lace with openwork details, fine sheer fabric and a wider finished woven band. Approximately 12–13” long. The original purpose is unknown. Its finished construction suggests it may have been part of a garment, lingerie, bonnet, headwear, neckpiece or decorative hair accessory rather than simply loose lace trim. Estimated 1910s–1930s. Fiber content unknown. Shows expected signs of age and storage, including some creaminess/discoloration and minor irregularities; please see photos.
