■ Operating Status
PS1, PS2 (Gold Disc, Silver Disc, Blue Disc), PS3: Operation ◎ OK

To identify unstable units that cannot be detected by light operation checks of general software, a high-load test using GT6, one of the most demanding games for the PS3, has been performed. Confirmed no freezing or power shutdowns.

■ Voltage Reduction

PS3 voltage reduction involves slightly lowering the voltage supplied to the Cell and RSX within the appropriate range.
Effects:
- Reduces heat generation (temperatures may decrease by several degrees to around 10°C)
- Lowers power consumption
- Reduces the risk of YLOD (Yellow Light of Death)
- Reduces long-term strain on the console.

■ Fan Table Review (Optimization)

Sony's settings prioritize quietness, with the fan speed set to approximately 20% until around 74°C.
This setting can lead to high internal temperatures and may cause YLOD.
The fan control has been reviewed (Photo 14, without using webman).
The fan has been adjusted to maintain approximately 25% speed up to 55°C, and generally keep both CELL and RSX below 60°C. This suppresses internal temperature rise and reduces the YLOD rate.

■ Maintenance Performed
- Some capacitors replaced.
- Shell cracked: Cell/RSX heatsinks removed, high-performance MX-4 thermal paste used.
- Overhauled: Internal components such as the motherboard, drive, and fan have been disassembled and cleaned, making the interior sparkling clean.
- Pickup lens and button battery replaced.
*There are some scuffs and signs of use.
*Due to the specifications of the early PS3 model, game disc loading may be less reliable when placed vertically. This issue is improved when placed horizontally.
