The planner advised that underwear might show from the back with a standard肌襦袢 (hadajuban - undergarment) when wearing a shiromuku (white kimono) or irouchikake (colored kimono), so I purchased this used item on Mercari.

The stretchy fabric is not constricting, making it suitable for maternity wear as well.
I was 5 months pregnant and wore it without any discomfort.
