Vtg Ceramic Wall Tiles, "Mediterranean Houses" Series, Raised Colorful Reliefs

These are vintage ceramic wall tiles from the Mediterranean Houses series by Creazioni Luciano, handmade in Italy. These specific tiles belong to the highly collectible Casette Mediterranee (Mediterranean Houses) series, originally popularized in the 1960s by master artisan Lamberto Tastardi (who worked under the name Luciano) in Salerno, Italy. Artistic TechniqueThe distinctive look is achieved through a proprietary ceramic cloisonné method developed by the artist. Raised Cells: A white clay body is molded to create a raised, black-lined relief outline. Vitreous Enamels: Vibrant, transparent glazes are carefully hand-applied within each isolated cell before firing. Stained-Glass Effect: The fired finish is highly glossy, smooth, and mimics the depth of traditional stained glass windows.Design Details Left Tile: Depicts a steep coastal village at night under a full orange moon and starry sky. It features a prominent arched burgundy building, multiple white and blue stepped dwellings, and a red sailboat resting on a sandy foreground beach. Right Tile: Features a complementary nocturnal scene with a tall white building dominating the landscape, a stylized building with an ornate balcony, an orange rowboat on the shore, and a lush green tree balancing the composition.
