A beautifully detailed vintage wooden box, densely hand-carved with foliate and floral relief work covering the lid and sides. Set into the lid is a printed cottage countryside landscape scene, framed by the surrounding carving. The box sits on carved feet and closes with a brass hasp clasp, and opens to reveal a mirror set into the underside of the lid. A real statement piece — equally lovely as a jewelry box, keepsake box, or vanity/dresser accent, with the mirror adding practical everyday use. Condition: There's a repair on the front right side (see third photo); the mirror has some spotting. See photos as they are part of the description.
