Description
A Gräflich Ortenburg West German pottery vase in the classic Fat Lava style, featuring a vibrant red glaze with dramatic black volcanic texturing. The rounded Krug form with integrated handle is impressed 619/1 on the base along with the Gräflich Ortenburg shield mark. Produced during the late 1960s or early 1970s, it is a strong example of the bold glazing and sculptural forms that define the West German pottery movement. Very good vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs observed. Light wear to the unglazed foot consistent with age and use. At COMAC Collection, each piece is selected for its craftsmanship, design, and enduring character. Vintage objects naturally show signs of age and use, and any notable condition details are described and photographed as accurately as possible. All items come from a smoke-free home.
