My brother, Norihiko Oya, is also a Japanese painter and a member of the Japan Art Institute.
Both brothers favor painting peonies, but while my brother Norihiko is said to paint male peonies (powerful) due to his style, I, Toshihiko, am sometimes evaluated as painting female peonies (elegant and gentle).

This artwork, the peony Fukikah, is a powerful masterpiece of size 15, and it is a delicate and gentle work rendered in gold leaf.

The reflection on the acrylic surface is showing, but it is not a scratch.

There are about two inconspicuous marks on the back of the frame,
The painting and frame are in good condition, but please understand that this is a used item.
We ask that those who understand the characteristics of paintings and framed art purchase this item.

Thank you for viewing.
