Circa 1930s Japanese blue lusterware vase and dish featuring iridescent blue and lavender glazes, hand-painted blossoms, a colorful bird motif, and gold trim. This coordinating pair includes a sculptural handled vase and a rectangular dish, each marked Made in Japan. The vase also bears an unidentified pictorial trademark. Dating to the 1930s, these prewar Japanese export pieces are offered as a coordinating pair due to their complementary designs and differing backstamps. Their luminous luster glaze and hand-painted details make them a beautiful addition to any Japanese ceramic or lusterware collection. Condition: Very good vintage condition. Light surface wear, including minor wear to the gold trim and small imperfections consistent with vintage hand-decorated lusterware.
