Japanese painter, Tamako Kataoka
Masterpiece Red Fuji
Kataoka's signature and seal are
present on both the artwork and the back,
making this a valuable and impressive piece.
◎ This is an old painting that was passed down to me. As it has not been appraised,
I am listing it as a meticulously restored reproduction.
The frame is also
very luxurious, matching the artwork.
The vibrant colors and overlapping brushstrokes are characteristic of Tamako Kataoka's bold and powerful style. The unique composition and color palette, which can also appear somewhat cartoonish, brighten up a room and bring energy.
The majestic and auspicious aura of the Red Fuji is beautiful.
This masterpiece by Kataoka combines the popular Red Fuji mountain with auspicious motifs such as pine, bamboo, and plum blossoms.
Tamako Kataoka began painting Mount Fuji in her late 50s, just before turning 60, and Mount Fuji paintings comprised most of her work in her later years.
A high-quality frame is included to match the painting.
Shipping is included for the buyer who will cherish it.
The painting size is F6.
Including the frame,
it is approximately 55 cm in height
and 46 cm in width.
