Vintage Bronze Boat Propeller Nautical Presentation Sculpture

Unusual vintage nautical folk art piece created from the broken blade and hub of an authentic marine propeller, mounted upright in a handmade translucent resin base embedded with seashells. The propeller retains its original factory markings, including “13 LH 13,” along with additional casting or manufacturing numbers. Most compelling is the rough, jagged break where the remainder of the propeller was lost. Rather than discard the damaged propeller, someone preserved this fragment and turned it into a permanent maritime display piece. The shell-filled resin base and careful presentation suggest this may have been made as a personal keepsake, commemorative object, or informal award, though its specific history is unknown. A wonderfully unusual piece combining genuine working marine hardware with handmade nautical folk art. Measures approximately 8 H x 5.5 W x 3.75 D. Condition: The propeller blade is a fragment from a broken propeller, with the original jagged fracture prominently visible at the hub. Surface oxidation, scratches, pitting and wear from age and use throughout. Resin base has scratches, edge wear and small chips/losses. Solid and stable as a display piece.
