Vintage Extra Large Burgundy Gold Passementerie Curtain Tieback Tassel 45 Inch Heavy  Large, substantial decorative curtain tieback featuring an elaborate burgundy and antique gold passementerie design. The oversized tassel has a padded sculptural body wrapped and embellished with braided cord, scrolling appliqué and gold cordwork, finished with a very full long fringe skirt and heavy twisted hanging cord.  This is an especially dramatic, heavy-quality tieback rather than the smaller lightweight tassels commonly used on modern drapery. Beautiful for traditional, Victorian, French, Renaissance, Hollywood Regency or maximalist interiors. Also excellent as a decorative architectural accent or theatrical prop.  Condition Preowned vintage condition with age and use wear. Fringe shows tangling, unevenness and some loose or pulled threads, particularly toward the bottom.
