Description
This is a handmade bass drum beater made with a tennis ball. (Price is for one beater, as shown in the first photo.)
Because it uses a tennis ball, it produces a milder sound quality than regular beaters, and its moderate rebound makes it easier to play. It is also ideal for cajon.
It may be usable with double pedals, though clearance is tight. (Confirmed with Pearl/P2002C in photos 2 and 3.) Compatibility with manufacturers other than Pearl is unknown.
The shaft is 6mm, so it can be used with older 6mm pedals and recent 6.35mm pedals (see photos 2 and 3).
Even with 6.35mm pedals, it can be used securely by tightening properly, making it compatible with most pedals.
As this is a handmade item, there may be slight variations between individual units. Please refrain from purchasing if you are sensitive to such details.
Also, the number on the tennis ball is an identification number per can, so it may differ from the number shown in the photo. Please understand. (If purchasing two, we will match the numbers for left and right.)
