Description
A dramatic vintage Monet brooch with looping silver tone openwork petals surrounding a large faceted deep red glass center stone. Small clear accents add sparkle around the floral filigree design. The brooch measures approximately 2 inches by 2 inches and weighs approximately 15.4 grams. The Monet mark does not include a copyright symbol, which can occur on certain production periods. An openwork, multi-petal flower/rosette with a filigree motif. Produced between 1937 and 1955. Center Stone: A large, prong-set faceted plum/wine/garnet glass cabochon stone. Accents: Marcasite-style textured detailing or tiny glass rhinestone accents along the scalloped filigree borders. Metal: Antiqued/burnished gold-tone finish.
