Vintage Czech Filigree Brooch Gold Tone Teardrop Pink Rhinestones Trombone Clasp

This is a beautiful, vintage brooch made in Czechoslovakia from the 1930s or 1940s, and features a clover-shaped frame of delicate, open-work floral filigree in textured gold-tone metal, highlighted by four teardrop-shaped pink rhinestones.  This piece closes with a trombone clasp which was patented in Europe around 1850 and used on many pieces through the 1930s and 1940s.  The trombone clasp has a push-pull cylindrical safety mechanism named after the musical instrument and keeps the brooch securely attached.  This piece is stamped Czechoslovakia on the side of the clasp.  The stones are in excellent condition, as is the clasp, but there are some visible signs of wear such as the gold-tone finish fading and discoloration.
