TAMA Iron Cobra 200 and other models - Bearing for Spring Roller

Achieve the same effect as Speed Master Bearings for less than 1/4 of the cost!

Modern low-cost drum pedals are simple and easy to use, lacking confusing adjustment mechanisms. However, unfortunately, the spring roller is still made with the traditional resin ring.

In fact, the spring roller section is where the most friction resistance occurs in a drum pedal. By replacing this with a bearing, the pedal's action will dramatically improve.

However, it's understandable to hesitate to spend ¥7,000 (¥14,000 for a double pedal) on a low-cost pedal to install Canopus Speed Master Bearings (formerly Speed Star Bearings).

That's why we created these grooved bearings. They are simply made by cutting a groove into the outer ring of an NSK stainless steel bearing (*). Unlike Speed Master Bearings, they don't have a heavy bearing holder, resulting in lower inertia and quicker action.

TAMA Iron Cobra 200 Series
