DW5000 Belt Drive - No Underplate - Canopus Tuned Up

This is the DW 5000 belt drive model, featuring the traditional offset cam design inherited from Camco. This pedal, in the lineage of the GRETSCH Floating Action, is a masterpiece that has long been favored by jazz and brushwork drummers seeking lightness and acoustic resonance.

The unified feel, as if the footboard adheres to the sole of your foot, is a unique sensation of this model, creating a musical groove that chain models can never replicate. The underplate-less design eliminates excess mass for a lightweight build, highlighting natural rebound and delicate dynamic control during heel-down playing.

This unit was purchased as a tuned-up model by Canopus, and has undergone turbo bearing processing (the tuned by Canopus sticker is still present). By minimizing rotational friction of the camshaft to the extreme, it achieves a stroke lightness and responsiveness that far surpasses the original.

I purchased this to try my hand at jazz drumming, but I quickly stepped away from band activities after purchasing it, so it has been used very little and remains in excellent condition with no unusual noises or noticeable damage.

Furthermore, the DW 5000 series has already been discontinued. The successor 6000 series also has very limited availability for the belt drive model (6000NX), and coupled with the significant price increase of DW hardware due to recent global circumstances, it is realistically difficult to find a pedal with these specifications and in this condition on the market.

This is a unit that those who know will understand, and may never encounter again.

Although the manufacturer is unknown, a new beater is included. I will pass this on to someone who will cherish it. Thank you.
