Pierre-Auguste Renoir
Born in France in 1841, Pierre-Auguste Renoir was an Impressionist painter. After entering the École des Beaux-Arts in 1862, he joined Gleyre's studio, where he met Monet, Sisley, and others, and advocated for Impressionism. His early works often featured portraits. While his mid-career pieces have a slightly subdued color palette, his later works returned to gentle, calm, and bright colors. Throughout his life, he painted many portraits of young girls and women.
