Description
Vintage 1990 Hi-Fashion Fabrics Inc. tropical floral apparel fabric, clearly dated on the original selvage. Gorgeous large-scale painterly botanical print featuring lush tropical leaves and flowers in teal/turquoise, periwinkle, lavender, navy, sage/olive, vivid magenta and pink with touches of warm orange against an ivory background. Fine black sketch-like outlines give the print a wonderful watercolor fashion-illustration quality. The fabric is very fluid, slinky and drapey with a subtle shimmer. Look closely and the ground also has a beautiful woven tonal texture that catches the light and adds dimension to the print. This is not a basic quilting-weight cotton. Approximately 2¼ yards × 44” wide. Selvage marked “© HI-FASHION FABRICS INC. 1990.” Fiber content is unknown. The fabric has a silky, fluid apparel-fabric hand; please refer to photos for weave and surface detail.
