Vintage chefs/butcher knife by Alfred Zanger Company, stamped Solingen Stainless Germany with the makers oval logo. Solingen is Germanys historic cutlery-making region, and Alfred Zanger knives from this era are well regarded by collectors of vintage kitchen cutlery. Full tang, wood handle secured with visible pins, single spear-point blade a substantial, well-balanced kitchen knife built for serious use. Condition: Pre-owned, from estate/resale sourcing. Blade shows light handling scratches consistent with age and use, edge is straight with no chips. Wood handle solid, no cracks; some light discoloration/age typical of vintage wood handles (see photos closely). No wobble at the tang. Blade is 9.5 Overall length 14.5
