DRYTEX: Excellent Waterproof Breathability and Suppleness
DRYTEX is a proprietary waterproof breathable material developed by Montbell. It consists of a porous (many-holed) membrane, approximately 25μm thick, bonded to fabric and coated with a hydrophilic, non-porous polyurethane.
This 3-layer fabric, with fabric laminated on both sides of the film, achieves an initial water pressure resistance of 25,000mm and a moisture permeability of 10,000g/m²・24hrs (JIS L-1099 B-1 method), which remains unchanged even after 20 washes.
It also boasts super durable water repellency (over 20 washes). Furthermore, items made with DRYTEX offer not only comfort through waterproof breathability but also a soft feel.
