21.71 $
Description
This is a set of two items: a special member badge for the Jodo Shinshu Honganji-ha (Nishi Honganji) sect and a folding fan inscribed with the Heart Sutra.
① Heart Sutra Folding Fan
This is a very beautiful and solemn folding fan with the Heart Sutra densely written in gold lettering on a calm navy blue background. The bamboo ribs are engraved with Heart Sutra.
• Condition: There are creases when opened, but no noticeable tears or stains are observed.
② Monk's Association Special Member Badge
This is a valuable insignia awarded to special members of the Monk's Association, featuring the character 講 (Kō, meaning association or lecture).
• Engraving: Engraved on the back with 門徒講 特別講員章 (Montokō Tokubetsu Kōinshō - Monk's Association Special Member Badge).
• Accessories: Comes with a dedicated paper box for the badge.
Both items have been carefully kept for temple visits, memorial services, or as part of a collection. Although they are old, they are in good condition overall. We are offering these to someone who can appreciate them as vintage Buddhist art.
