Description
Vintage Pair of Late 1940's to Early 1950's MCM Pennsylvania Dutch Scandinavian Black Folk Art Print Flutter-Fly BUTTERFLY Hot Pads, Potholders - Approximately 8 Wide Description: Great pair - rare to find this style, equally rare to find them unused and without damage/wear holes/stains/burn marks. Very nice, never laundered! They are factory made quilted potholders that feature a thick cotton batting fill, and a center reinforced seam design that allows lift to the wings when hung on the wall for a flutter effect, as well as functional to allow them to fold easily for assist in lifting hot handles or pots from the stove or oven. Totally retro 1940's - early 1950's in excellent condition! Amazing for being around 75-85 years old. Condition: Excellent, they appear as never having been used. Expected light old age odor is not offensive, and a gentle soak should take care of it.
