YAMAHA Snare Drum SD4440 14x4 inches

This is a YAMAHA (Yamaha) snare drum SD4440, featuring a brass shell with rich, balanced, and clear sound.

The most distinctive feature is the Nouveau Lug. Due to its floating structure where the lug hooks onto the bolt on the shell side, the lug case does not come into contact with the shell, allowing the shell's natural resonance to be preserved as much as possible.
It also allows for quick head changes without completely removing the tuning bolts, and prevents the loss of washers.
To produce a powerful and robust sound, the shell is made with a thick 1.5mm gauge.
The hoop is a 2.3mm 10-lug Dyna Hoop, a standard on higher-end models of this era, made of thick steel.
In synergy with the thick shell, it produces a solid, centered sound with both sharpness and volume.
