ROAMCOUCH "Painter Princess" Special Edition

This is an extremely rare early canvas work by ROAMCOUCH titled Painter Princess.
Furthermore, this piece is a complete one-of-a-kind, as the eye color was specially changed just for this artwork.

The story of how I acquired it is as follows: Although sales had already ended at the time (2012), an acquaintance directly requested it from the artist. The artist kindly agreed and not only created the piece but also thoughtfully changed the eye color as a special gesture.
The eyes of the piece I own are blue (Photos ② and ④), while the standard version has emerald green-like eyes (Photos ⑧, ⑨, and ⑩).
(As noted below, it may be difficult to perceive the difference in eye color due to the difficulty in direct comparison, but I believe you can understand the difference in color and age by comparing the designated photos above.)

This series features masks of maison brand logos and names, and it is likely difficult to continue production due to various restrictions. Therefore, the number of pieces in circulation is probably quite small.

[Artist Introduction] (Excerpt from HP)
Born in Anpachi-cho, Gifu Prefecture in 1976. Began drawing from childhood, influenced by manga, and gained experience as a designer after graduating from high school. An experience with a serious illness provided an opportunity to reconsider his life and career, leading him to pursue art. Began his artistic activities under the name ROAMCOUCH in 2011. He presents beautiful and romantic works, composed of over fifty hand-cut stencils, at solo and group exhibitions both domestically and internationally, redefining the conventional concept of stencil art. His first solo exhibition in New York in 2014 sold out. In the same year, he launched the Emotional Bridge Project, a project to paint murals free of charge, primarily in his hometown of Anpachi-cho, Gifu Prefecture. He attempts to attract art fans not only from outside the prefecture but also from overseas.
More recently, he has been working on creating pieces utilizing Mino washi paper, aiming to present the true Ukiyo-e of the modern era under the title Neo Ukiyo-e.
