Metropolitan Life Insurance 2001 Household Hints and Dollar Stretchers booklet, copyrighted 1957 by Michael Gore. This mid-century paperback is a charming piece of Americana, originally distributed as a promotional item by agent John W. Briley in Springfield, Tennessee. The cover features classic 1950s-era illustrations of a couple with a piggy bank and cash, capturing the dollar stretcher theme of the decade.
