This is a work believed to have been created by the late grandfather on April 16, 1990, at Shinjuku Suehiro-tei, by Shoraku Hayashiya (at the time). We have judged this to be the case because it is written in his own hand, Shoraku Hayashiya, at Shinjuku Suehiro-tei.
My grandfather kept it in a custom-made wooden frame, stored in a location away from direct sunlight.
There is something white attached to the wooden frame. We are unable to determine what this is. As mentioned regarding the wooden frame, there appear to be no major issues with the preservation of the artwork itself, and it has been stored after being photographed and packaged.
