Pearl's Session Custom All Maple Shell was a popular series positioned from the late 1990s to the 2000s, bridging the gap between mid-range and high-end.
Key Features and Appeal
1. Shell Construction and Sound
The most distinctive feature of this series, as the name suggests, is the use of all maple (100% Maple).
Shell Thickness: A slightly thicker design at 6-ply (7.5mm).
Sound Characteristics: In addition to the bright and rich overtones characteristic of maple, it combines strength and power due to the thicker shell.
Versatility: It produces a well-balanced sound from low to high frequencies, making it adaptable to a wide range of genres from jazz to intense rock, depending on tuning.
