Tetsuya Ishida Poster Haunted Realism Gagosian Gallery Overseas

Tetsuya Ishida Poster

This poster was created for the group exhibition Haunted Realism held at Gagosian in London in 2022.

The exhibition focuses on the feeling that modern aspirations have become a lost future, and that the original concepts can only be perceived as ghostly remnants. The exhibition examines how artists have approached this situation amidst the accelerating flow of images in contemporary media culture and the proliferation of non-places in which we increasingly reside. Ishida's painting depicts a naked man holding a baby, with ghostly images of his family drifting before his eyes as milk flows from a baby bottle.

His works have recently been re-examined with the release of a new art book overseas.
