Antique J.M. Fisher Watch Chain Vest Clip Fob Holder Gilt Metal Monogram

Antique J.M. Fisher Co. watch chain vest clip or fob holder in gilt metal with an engraved monogrammed cartouche, decorative scrollwork, original safety chain, and swivel dog clip. The clip is marked J.M.F. & Co. with a patent marking on the reverse. Based on the style, construction, and maker, this piece dates to the early 1900s, likely around the Edwardian period.  Fob is in overall good antique condition. Minor surface scratches, finish wear, patina, and areas of verdigris are present, consistent with age and use. The spring clip functions properly, and the safety chain and swivel dog clip remain attached. Acid testing confirmed the piece is not gold. No cleaning or polishing has been attempted.
