Charming antique watch chain fob/vest clip, marked PEERLESS with a script maker’s cipher on the reverse. Nickel-silver shield-form clip is hand-engraved with scrollwork framing an applied monogram letter “A,” attached to a brass curb-link chain terminating in a swivel hook. Victorian/Edwardian era, likely 1890s–1910s. This type of clip attached to a waistcoat buttonhole to secure a pocket watch chain. Condition: Clip shows solder repair/reinforcement at the base, moderate tarnish and plating wear consistent with age, monogram “A” and scrollwork crisp and legible. Swivel hook at the chain terminus is broken/non-functional. AS-IS
