Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot (1796–1875) was a French landscape painter, an important figure who bridged Neoclassicism and Impressionism. The scene depicted on this poster is a prime example of his characteristic poetic landscapes. A woman stands beside tall trees, with a tranquil river and a stone bridge in the background. Soft brushstrokes, subdued colors, and delicate light create a dreamlike serenity. Corot emphasized capturing the emotional beauty of nature over strict realism, and he greatly influenced many Impressionist painters (such as Monet and Pissarro).
The print was produced by Mengis + Sticher in Switzerland, using high-quality offset printing on thick paper. It is an official publication by Kunstkreis Lucerne.
