Description
Genuine antique tribal necklace from Yemen/Bedouin region, featuring a hand-fabricated filigree box pendant (hirz-style amulet/prayer box). Five silver dangles hang from the base of the pendant. Strung on a twisted rope-link chain with a hand-forged hook clasp — no modern lobster clasp, all original hardware. Measures 24 1/2” long. Pendant shows rich, dark patina consistent with age and wear — a beautiful example of traditional Yemeni silversmith work, historically made by Jewish artisans in Sana’a for tribal/bridal jewelry. SILVER TONE Untested for silver content/purity - priced accordingly, but a wonderful authentic ethnic piece for a collector or as a statement necklace.
