Antique 13" Moser Bohemian Cut‎ Crystal Shaped Bowl with Gold Details

This elegant cut crystal bowl exemplifies the refined craftsmanship of Bohemian glassmaking traditions that flourished from the mid-19th through the mid-20th century. Bohemian crystal, particularly from the renowned Moser glassworks founded in 1857 in Karlovy Vary (Carlsbad), became internationally celebrated for combining precise geometric cutting with delicate etched floral motifs. The boat or canoe shape was a signature form for centerpiece bowls, reflecting the period's appreciation for sophisticated table settings and the technical mastery required to create such elegant curves in heavy crystal. Bohemian crystal bowls like this are highly prized by collectors of European decorative arts, vintage glassware enthusiasts, and connoisseurs of fine crystal. These pieces appeal to those who appreciate the extraordinary skill required to execute both the sharp geometric cuts and the delicate hand-etched floral designs. Collectors particularly value Bohemian crystal for its historical significance in glassmaking, its superior clarity and weight, and its enduring beauty as both functional serving pieces and display objects that elevate any interior.
