Vintage Metlox Poppytrail divided serving bowl with a grape motif

Metlox Pottery was a California-based ceramics manufacturer that operated from 1920 to 1989. They were known for producing a wide range of dinnerware, decorative items, and figurines, often with distinctive glazes and designs. The Poppytrail line, introduced in the 1950s, became particularly popular for its charming and often whimsical patterns. This particular divided serving bowl, featuring an embossed grape and leaf motif, is characteristic of the mid-century American pottery style. Such pieces were commonly used for serving appetizers, relishes, or vegetables and are sought after by collectors for their nostalgic appeal and decorative quality.
