Set of 4 Vintage Saint-Clément FFAS French Majolica Daisy Plates - Barbotine A24

Elevate your tablescape or gallery wall with this stunning set of four authentic French Majolica dessert plates. Crafted by the prestigious Faïencerie de Saint-Clément (FFAS) in the Lorraine region of France, these plates are premier examples of Barbotine (relief-molded) earthenware. Each plate is sculpted into a bold, high-relief floral design featuring a vibrant daisy with sunny yellow petals and a textured brown center. The glass-like glaze gives these pieces a brilliant depth and shine that captures the light beautifully. Authenticity & Markings: • Manufacturer: Saint-Clément (officially embossed with the FFAS logo). • Origin: Clearly marked Made in France on the reverse. • Pattern/Mold Number: A24 (the specific mold identifier for this sculptural series). • Marking Note: This is a verified, matched set. One plate features a crisp, deep impression of the FFAS and A24 marks. On the other three plates, these marks are more subtle or partially covered by the glaze/retail stickers—a common occurrence in handmade vintage production. All four share identical dimensions, colors, and design. Condition: • Excellent Vintage Condition: No chips, cracks, or restorations. • Aesthetic: The glaze remains bright and vivid. The pieces exhibit fine, age-appropriate crazing (tiny network of lines in the glaze) which is a hallmark of authentic mid-century French pottery and adds to their vintage character. Dimensions: • Diameter: Approximately 8 inches (standard dessert/salad size).
