Kendo Kendo Gear Do Take-do Aogai

Kendo bamboo do (body armor) with 60-piece shell inlay lacquer on the do dai (body plate).
This is a re-polished and re-lacquered fabric do.
The shell inlay is a luxurious finish, using approximately three times the amount of shell compared to commercially available shell-inlaid do dai, with shells of various sizes (small, medium, and large). While it's a new do dai with more shell inlay than commercially available ones, we are able to offer it at this price by cutting out intermediaries like retail stores.
The size should be suitable for the average adult male. Width: 42 cm.
The blue hue is difficult to capture in direct front-facing photos due to lighting conditions, so please check the side images for a better representation of the color.
The mune (chest plate) is a rare and valuable 8-rin (a specific stitch count) with a mitsugumo (three clouds) design. The stitching is purple, and the decorative design is the same as that of the chest plate used by a sensei who has won the All Japan Championships six times.
