1. Thickness in the striking area to protect your body!
Most strikes are to the face.
By increasing the thickness of the futon (padding) in the striking area of the Men,
it softens the impact to the head and reduces the burden on your body from long periods of motodachi (sparring partner).

2. Not just a thick Men, but also focused on functionality!
The striking area is thick and reassuring, but
it's pointless if it hinders movement, right?
Therefore, the mentare (lower part of the Men) that rests on the shoulders
has a different core material placement, making it
thinner than the striking area.
The difference is clear at a glance!
Furthermore, by making the mentare with gu no me-zashi (a specific stitching pattern),
it can be freely shaped.

3. Durability to withstand intense practice!
The stitching on the Men's futon is intentionally slightly narrower than the popular pitch-zashi (another stitching pattern)
to reduce the occurrence of thread breakage from strikes.
And, to make the chin, which is easily damaged by tsuki (thrusts),
stronger, we have adopted ni-juu kannuki (double reinforcement).
These two features can reduce fatal damage even in intense practice!
