■ About the Product ■
This is a very rare round inkstone with a stone matching lid (tomo-buta) carved from the same stone as the inkstone itself.

The surface of the lid features exquisite cursive script carving, which, combined with the natural texture of the stone, exudes a serene beauty.

It has a substantial weight (536g) befitting its all-stone construction, and the sense of unity when the lid is closed is exceptional.

A stone lid is ideal for maintaining the moisture of the ink, making this a practical item as well.

■ Condition ■
There are some small chips on the edge of the lid in places, but they do not significantly affect its use or appearance.

The grinding surface (riku) of the main body is smooth and ready for immediate use.

Please check the images for details. We await bids from those who understand and appreciate antique items.
