Meiji Taisho Era Antique Old Inkstone Wooden Box
42.90 $
Description
This is an antique inkstone from the Meiji to Taisho periods.
It belonged to my great-grandfather, who was born around Meiji 2-3 (1869-1870). His address is written on it, but the location listed was merged and disappeared in Showa 4 (1929), so I understand it was likely owned even before then.
There are scratches due to age and damage to the box, but please understand that this is an antique item.
The ink stains are in the condition they were left in after the last use.
