The provenance makes this especially interesting as an Alaïa collector’s piece, rather than simply a vintage belt. A striking vintage Alaïa statement belt featuring an ivory open-net crochet peplum framed in black leather. The sculptural, undulating shape creates a dramatic flared peplum effect around the waist—very much in the body-conscious, architectural language associated with Alaïa. The contrast is fabulous: delicate, almost handmade-looking ivory netting against the strong black leather edging.
