Description
Offered here is an exquisite Art Nouveau brass frame with ornate fretwork. The frame is solid and heavy; it has a glass piece to cove painting; it is backed by a metal sheet (see photo); it has a metal chain for hanging. The frame could be used for a piece of art or a mirror. The frame, likely from the early 20th century, is in excellent condition. All pieces are intact. The brass has a beautiful shine and color. The art is a paper copy of a Redoute rose painting; it has no value. The mat is a dew-green silk with a thin strip of wine-colored silk. This, of course, can be removed. Measurements: Height 24 Width 20 Surface for art or mirror 15 by 19 Mat 2.5 by 3.5 I have two of these frames. If you are interested in both, please send a message.
