Kazan-in Aitonori - Samidare Hisa
Kazan-in Aitonori
Kazan-in Aitonori was a court noble in the late Edo period.
According to Kuge Shoke Keizu (Shoke Chifu Sekki) compiled by Zokugun Shoju Kankokai, he was the head of the Seiga family, which was the second highest rank after the Sekkan family. He rose to the position of Udaijin (Minister of the Right) with the court rank of Juichii (Senior First Rank) and passed away in Bunsei 12 (1829) at the age of 75.
He was adopted from the Nakayama family, a branch family. His granddaughter, Keiko, who was the daughter of Tadayoshi, is known as the birth mother of Emperor Meiji.
Aitonori's niece, Sekiko Nakayama, also entered the imperial harem of Emperor Ninko.
Kazan-in Aitonori was born in Horeki 5 (1755), became Udaijin in Bunsei 3 (1820), then resigned from his post, and died in Bunsei 12 (1829) at the age of 75.
