【Made in Japan】Bushu Aoi-jima Men Kote Tare Set by Nihon Kendo Bogu Seisakusho

This is a set of Men (helmet), Kote (gloves), and Tare (apron) made by Nihon Kendogu Seisakusho, using Bushu x Aojima fabric.

Partially customized with navy leather on an Ori-zashi base.

This is a 3-piece set, a collaboration product released around Reiwa 3 (2021) by Nihon Kendogu Seisakusho, using Bushu Ichi's Aojima fabric.

Used less than 20 times, the condition is very good.
The Men, Kote, and Tare all have purple Yabane (arrow feather pattern) added, with attention paid to the appearance.
It is made with thickness where needed, and thin and light where not a striking area,
making it very easy to use.

The Men's chin guard is a 4-stage Kaku (square) decoration, a traditional specification that matches anything. (A 5-stage decoration would make the chin area feel tight and crowded,
so we opted for a visually spacious design.)

The Kote would normally be fully Ori-zashi, but for added rank and durability, it has been decorated with navy leather.
(This is apparently called tsume or claw.)
The palm lining is white leather, making it soft and easy to grip.

The Tare has a purple Yabane on the top tier of the 5-stage decoration,
enhancing its decorative appeal. It is designed to create a coordinated look for the set.

All were ordered from the same shop at the same time, so they are from the same series, but for some reason, only the Tare has the label 天照皇大神 (Amaterasu Sumera Mikoto).

There is surname embroidery on the stamp mark area.
The color in the 6th image appears different due to lighting.
In reality, it has a deep indigo, truly elegant and beautiful color. It's a shame it doesn't come across well in photos.

Men: Hachimaki (headband) 58cm, Hokkamuri (head covering) 70-71cm,
Kanshita (below the forehead band) 21cm,
Kote: Palm width 22cm, fingertip to wrist 20cm
Tare: Width 53cm

They fit me well at 170cm tall, and I believe they are a suitable size for most adult Japanese men.

The size of the Men can be adjusted to some extent by tightening the threads.
