Description
Hyakunin Isshu - Poem by Abe no Nakamaro
Ama no hara furisake mireba Kasuga naru Mikasa no yama ni idashi tsuki kamo
(Looking up at the vast sky, I see the moon rising over Mount Mikasa in Kasuga.)
This is a truly beautiful small framed piece of kana calligraphy by Hazuki Nakahashi, a beloved disciple of the kana calligrapher Seiku Ando.
Purchased at a Hyakunin Isshu exhibition held in 1999.
Every New Year, I would take it out of its box and gaze at it with admiration, but it was never displayed as a framed piece and is in like-new condition.
Size:
Frame: 27 x 21.5 cm
Calligraphy: 14.5 x 10 cm
Will be shipped in the original box.
