Kendo Men's Custom Hand-Stitched "Ryuho" Armor Set: 60-Strand Bamboo Dō, Men, Kote, and Tare

This is a Ryuhou brand Kendo Bogu (armor) set.
It is 1-bu 5-rin (a measurement of the stitching).
This is armor that is difficult to obtain nowadays.
I was able to purchase this after asking a favor of a trusted armor shop where it was displayed.
The overall construction is solid, suitable for both matches and practice, but most importantly, it looks very impressive when worn.
I acquired this armor for 500,000 yen, and it was reportedly close to 800,000 yen when new.

The Men (helmet) was used occasionally, and I had it regularly maintained at the armor shop. It has not been washed, so if you are concerned, please have it washed before use.
The Kote (gloves) were not used frequently, and there are no tears in the palm.
The Tare (skirt) was not used much.
Regarding the mushikake (a decorative stitch) on the center of the large Tare, I intentionally removed it from the lower part for use.
It is in an inconspicuous area and does not affect usability, but if you are concerned, it can be reattached at an armor shop for approximately 1000-1500 yen.

The Do (chest protector) was the piece I was most fond of in the set and was mostly displayed in my room.
It was only used a few times a year, so it is generally in beautiful condition.
It has a family crest (kamon) on it, but the armor shop can reapply the crest.
Last year, I retired from Kendo due to worsening back pain.
I would like to pass it on to someone who can make good use of it.
The name tag remains only on the central part of the Do, but I will lightly remove it before shipping.
