This soundproof room, the YAMAHA Avitecs Cefine II 1.5 tatami mat Dr-40, was purchased in April 2018 for ¥1,365,000. The genuine carpet was replaced in August 2022 for ¥8,140. A small hole was made for ¥15,000 to allow for various wiring to be passed through so the PC unit could be used outside the soundproof room (see image 12).

There are some light discoloration areas (image 10) and minor scratches (image 11), but there are no issues with the soundproofing performance, and a professional even commented that it is a very good unit.

The main difference between Dr-35 and Dr-40 is the **sound insulation performance (decibel value)**. The higher the number, the greater the soundproofing effect. Dr-40 significantly reduces sound (insulates) more than Dr-35. Dr-40 is recommended for quieter environments or for practicing at night, and it is also more expensive than Dr-35.

☆Sound-absorbing materials can be included upon request★
If requested and you can arrange for a professional to remove it, we can also include about 20-30 pieces of sound-absorbing material as shown in image 13. The sound-absorbing material was finely cut as shown in the image and used in this soundproof room. They cost about ¥5,000 for 6 pieces, so the value is estimated to be around ¥20,000-¥30,000.

Soundproof rooms are heavy and have installation limitations. Installation may not be possible on the second floor or higher of wooden buildings. Installation is generally not a problem on the first floor of wooden buildings or on any floor of reinforced concrete buildings.
