Vintage Italian Reuge “Evergreen” Swiss Musical Jewelry Box | Floral Marquetry  A beautiful vintage Italian-made musical jewelry box featuring an authentic Swiss Reuge musical movement, finished in an exceptional deep blue lacquer with intricate floral marquetry/inlay.  The underside retains its original REUGE “Evergreen – Swiss Musical Movement” label, original Reuge-embossed winding key, and Made in Italy label.  The box opens to reveal a rich red velvet-lined interior with divided compartments for jewelry and small treasures. Ornate gold-tone hardware, decorative feet, warm wood trim and the floral bouquet design give the piece an elegant Old World Italian character.  Most importantly, the musical mechanism is fully functioning. The movement winds properly, the music plays clearly, and automatically begins when the lid is opened.
