NEW Kalimba African Thumb Instrument

NEW KALIMBA AFRICAN THUMB INSTRUMENT Click images to enlarge DESCRIPTION A kalimba is a traditional African musical instrument, often referred to as a thumb piano. It consists of a wooden board or resonator box with metal tines of varying lengths attached to the top. The tines are played by plucking with the thumbs or fingers, which produces a range of melodic tones. The kalimba's design is rooted in the African continent, particularly among the Shona people of Zimbabwe, where it's known as the mbira. Its sound is often described as melodic, bell-like, and soothing, making it popular in both traditional and contemporary music contexts. The instrument comes in various sizes and tunings, and it's valued for its portability and ease of learning. All of my items come from a smoke free home!
