[Do-bari (thickened handle)]
By thickening the handle (above the tsuba), it creates the effect of making the tip feel lighter.
With a lighter tip, this bamboo sword makes striking exchanges, fast-paced play, and counter-techniques easier compared to a straight sword.
While making the tip lighter can sometimes result in weaker strikes, this is not the case with the Hyuga 2.
Since it's meaningless to prioritize lightness at the expense of strike power, we've created it with a special carving method that makes the tip drop while utilizing the do-bari feature.

[Right hand oval grip]
Allows for strikes without unnecessary force.
Enables natural, well-aligned strikes even for kote-uchi (wrist strikes).
Enables well-aligned strikes for hiki-waza (pulling techniques) executed from various angles.
Allows for powerful strikes even when fatigued.
