【Made in Kyoto, Japan - Real Bamboo Shinai】Ichiryu

This is a Ichiryu brand shinai made from domestic madake bamboo (Kyoto material).
As this shinai is made by a single elderly craftsman, it is a very rare brand.

While it may be subjective, the hitting sensation is honestly incomparable to other shinai.
The bamboo is stiff, so there is little flex, and it gives the impression that a very good sound is produced with just a light impact on the striking area.
The bamboo has a high density, so you may feel it is slightly heavier.

Due to a wrist injury, I have been using it less frequently, and I am reluctantly listing it for sale.

It will be shipped with the tsuka (handle) assembled to 33cm and with shinai oil applied.
I would be happy if you could use it with care.
(It is tied with a nakayui to prevent gaps between the bamboo pieces.)
